A 2024 systematic review and meta-analysis examined 25 studies involving 991 people after stroke. Whole-body vibration training was associated with significant improvements in spasticity, motor function and balance. The review did not find significant improvements in gait, activities of daily living or quality of life, so the researchers concluded that WBV may be most useful as an adjunct for selected physical-function goals after stroke.
